Genelde blog yazilarimi fonda sakin parcalar esliginde hazirliyorum, bugün ise bu yaziya ilik bir rüzgar ve dalga sesleri eslik ediyor ve ben bu sartlar altinda yazmanin keyfini sonuna kadar cikariyorum. Bu yazimda sizlere Datca/Palamutbükü’nde kaldigim otelden bahsetmek ve size harika bir tatil fikri sunmak istiyorum. ‘Bir otelin olsa nasil olurdu?’ sorusuna yanitim bu yazi olurdu - neden mi? Greetings from amazing Datca! ☀️ Currently I’m sitting in the veranda of our hotel room and writing this post while enjoying the mesmerising sea view. Actually I’m preparing my posts while listening to music, but today’s post is accompanied by wave sounds - so relaxing! In this post I want to talk about my dreamy days in Datca/Palamutbükü and give you a few impressions about the hotel we stayed at during our trip. To the question ‘If you owned a hotel, how would it look like?’ I definitely would answer with this post - why? Keep reading…

“Yine nerelerdesin?“ dedi. “Datca’dayim“ dedim. “Datca mi? Orasi da neresi?“…

Datca’yi ne kadar az kisinin bildigi konusu beni cok sasirtti. Tamam, ben de ilk kez geliyorum buraya, ancak yine de Datca diye bir yerin varligindan haberdardim. Siz su an ilk kez mi duyuyorsunuz, yoksa daha önceden geldiniz veya duydunuz mu? Gercekten cok merak ettim. 😜 Kisaca Datca’dan bahsetmek gerekirse, Ege ve Akdeniz’in bulustugu, birbirini sarmaladigi nokta olarak tanimlayabilirim. Burasi cennet olmasin da ne olsun? Datca, Marmaris’e yaklasik 70 km uzaklikta olan yarimadadir. Benim icin ada olsun da, yarimi ceyregi fark etmez. Illa ki sakin ve huzurludur! Datca’nin elbette bir merkezi var, biz ilk Marmaris’e geldigimiz icin öncelikle otobüs ile otogardan Datca merkeze gectik. Cok sirin, kendine özgü bir yerdir burasi. Oradan otelimizin bulundugu Palamutbükü’ne gectik, yolculuk yaklasik 40 dakika sürdü. Inanin bana, bütün bu yolculuklara degiyor, bunu gececeginiz yollardan ve manzaradan da anlayacaksiniz! 

I was shocked when I got to know that not that much people know about Datca. Okay, for me it was the first time that I have been there too, but I knew before that a place called Datca is existing. What about you? Do you hear about it for the first time now or did you know it before? I am really curious about. 😜  In order to give you a quick overview about Datca: it is a peninsula in Turkey which is about 70 km far from Marmaris. In Datca, the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea meet each other. So it is a really dreamy place which offers many paradise beaches! The center is a small lovely village. The hotel we stayed at was located in Palamutbükü, it took about 40 minutes to get there from the center of Datca. But you’ll see that the way is definitely worth it!

Bana, ’bir otelin olsaydi nasil bir sey olurdu?’ diye sorsalar, verecegim cevap su olurdu: Öncelikle deniz kiyisinda olsun. Denizi; turkuaz ve lacivertler icersin, cok soguk olmasin ama serin olsun ki ferahlatsin, temiz ve duru olsun ruhumu arindirsin, berrak olsun. Otel ise sade, minimalist ve dogal olsun, tastan veya ahsaptan mesela. Bana Yunanistan’i hatirlatsin biraz, o tür tasarimlar serpistireyim. Ayni zamanda beni yansitsin otelim, benim kadar mavi, hayat kadar da beyaz olsun. Sehrin hareketinden uzak, dogaya yakin olsun. Huzuru hat safhada hissedeyim verandamda…

If they asked me ‘how would your hotel look like, if you owned one?’ my answer would be: First of all it should be located next to the sea. The sea should contain turquoise and dark blue shades, it shouldn’t be that cold, but fresh - jumping in should be the perfect refreshment in hot summer days. Also it should be clean and clear as glass. The hotel would be simple, minimalistic and quiet natural, maybe made of stone or wood. It would remain me a little of Greece and contain Greek designs. Additionally it would reflect myself, because of its blue white design. Far from the chaos in the city, near to the nature. I should be able to enjoy the serenity to the fullest in my veranda…

All those descriptions I can recapitulate in three words: Hotel Mavi Beyaz.

Datca’daki günlerimi yarimadanin en güzel otelinde gecirdim: Otel Mavi Beyaz. Otele ulastigimizda sevgili Serdar Bey ile Nilay Hanim bizi tüm samimiyetleriyle karsiladilar ve hemen soguk bir seyler ikram ettiler. Güleryüzleri ve hos sohbetleri sayesinde otele girisim, sanki eski bir dostla karsilasmisim hissi yaratti - öylesine samimi. Biraz soluklandiktan sonra dinlenmek icin odamiza gectik. Odaya giderken tabii oteli söyle genel olarak bir süzme firsati yakaladim ve “iste“ dedim, “otelim olsa böyle bir sey olurdu“. Burasi, 26 odasi olan ve tam olarak yukardaki betimlemelerimi icerisinde barindiran bir butik otel. Ismi gibi de mavi beyaz. Otel aslinda bildigimiz oteller gibi degil, daha cok sirin evlerin bulundugu Mykonos’ta bir mahalle gibi. Tasarimiyla bana gercekten Yunanistan’i animsatti!

I have spent my days in the most beautiful hotel of the peninsula: Hotel Mavi Beyaz. When we had arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed very warmly by Serdar and Nilay. They offered us a cold drink, which was the perfect refreshment! The two were so friendly that I enjoyed talking to them while sipping my cold drink. Then we got to our hotel room. While walking there I looked around and thought “yes, if I had a hotel it would exactly look like this!“ It is a boutique hotel with 26 rooms and fits absolutely to the description above. And like the name of the hotel it is designed in the colors blue and white (translation: “hotel blue white“). This hotel is not like the ones we know - it is like a small street in Mykonos filled with cute houses. Its design really reminded me of beautiful Greece!

Odamiz, cok sevimli ve dogaldi. Yine bol bol maviler ve beyazlar iceriyordu. Ama benim icin tasarimdan ziyade her zaman en önemli sey temizligidir! Otel odasinda ilk baktigim sey ne kadar temiz oldugudur, bunun icin yatak carsaflarini kisaca incelerim ve banyoya göz atarim. Temizse sorun yok! Otel Mavi Beyaz’daki odamizda da temizlikte kusur olmadigini görünce cok mutlu oldum. Odada yumusacik yatak, klima, minibar ve tv bulunuyor, internet de mevcut ayni zamanda. Verandasinda ise essiz bir manzaraya sahip - Palamutbükü’nün en güzel mavi tonlarini iceren denizi. Deniz kokusuyla uyanmak ve söyle bir esnemek, tuzlu havayi cigerlere doldurmak… aksamlari da günesin denize batisini izlemek ve ilik bir rüzgar esliginde dalga seslerini dinlemek… keske her günümüzü böyle gecirebilsek!

We stayed at a really cute room. It contained a lot of blue and white. But for me the most important fact is that the room was absolutely clean and neat. A cozy bed, an air conditioner, a minibar, a television and of course internet were included. From the veranda we had such a mesmerising view over the sea - Palamutbükü contains so many shades of blue! Waking up with the salty breeze of the sea… enjoying the sunset in the evening and see how the sun drowns in the sea… if only all of our days in life were like this!

Gercekten sakin ve sehrin karmasasindan uzak bir tatile cikmak ve bolca huzurlu vakit gecirip kafa dinlemek isteyenler Palamutbükü’nde huzuru bulacaklardir. Burada ne ses var ne gürültü, adeta kafa dinlemelik cennet kösesi bana göre. Ha yok canim sıkılır, ben bolca eglence ve hareket isterim derseniz rotayi degistirmenizi siddetle öneririm, zira burasi gercekten cok sessiz ve sakin. Gerek otel, gerekse plajlar bu sakinligi koruyorlar. Biz denize girmek icin hep otelin kendi plajini tercih ettik. Gercekten cok temiz ve sakindi. Rahatsizlik verecek hicbir husus olmadi, bilhassa cok güzel vakit gecirdik ve denizin tadini cikardik! Denizi cok soguk olmamakla birlikte hafif serin ve tasli. Tasli olmasindan dolayi da berrak ve tertemiz. Yani derine de gitseniz dibini rahatlikla görebiliyorsunuz. Kesinlikle bu deniz icin kilometrelerce yol katedilebilir! Gezdigim yerlerden en güzel denize sahip olan yer net Palamutbükü!

The location is really calm and silent, for those who want to go on serene holidays Palamutbükü would be one of the best alternatives. In my opinion it is a corner of paradise, so relaxing! But if you are a party type of person and want to be entertained continuously, then you should maybe search for another place, because Palamutbükü is really tranquil. The hotel aims right for the tranquillity in order to make it possible for its guests to spend relaxing days in it. I must say that I loved its own beach, it was absolutely clean and beautiful, so we could spend amazing hours at the beach and soak up some sunshine. The beach is pebbly and the water is clear as glass. Even in the deeper parts of the sea, you can see the ground clearly. Of all beaches I have visited so far in Turkey, Palamutbükü was definitely the most beautiful one!

Otelin bir de kendine ait Deli Zeytin adli restauranti mevcut. Burada nefis yemekler yapiliyor ve harika tatlar sunuluyor. Otelde konaklamaya harika bir kahvalti dahil. Biz kahvaltiya hep severek indik, taze sebzelerinden tutun, yumurtasina, balina, receline, kruvasanina kadar her sey mevcut. Servis konusunda da diyecek söz yok bence, personel cok güleryüzlü ve ilgiliydi. Acik büfe olup olmadigi da belki bazilariniz icin önemlidir, bu otelde kahvalti acik büfe tarzinda sunulmuyor, direkt masaniza servis ediliyor. Biz kahvaltiyi cok begendik! Ögle ve aksam yemeginizi de restaurantin deniz manzarali terasinda yiyebilirsiniz, harika baliklari ve mezeleri var söyleyeyim! Üstelik canli müzik de oluyor. Bu arada, cig böregini de tavsiye ederim, enfesti! Yani kisaca yemek konusunu hic dert etmeyin, restaurantta ac kalmazsiniz, aksine harika tatlar sizi bekliyor olur!

The hotel’s restaurant which is called Deli Zeytin, offeres so many delicate food! The breakfast was served by the staff, and was rich and fresh. It offered everything imaginable from various jams up to fresh vegetables, eggs and croissants. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. Also you can have your dinner at Deli Zeytin, I can recommend the fish sorts. They are prepared in a delicate way and are absolutely tasty. I can also recommend cig börek, which is a pastry filled with ground or minced meat - yummy! 

Restaurantin yani sira bir de bari var, burada nefis kahveler, cocktailler ve smoothieler hazirlaniyor. Arada bir ferahlamak ve enerji depolamak icin bunlari da tavsiye ederim kesinlikle. Buz gibi cok iyi gidiyor plajda! :-)

Besides the restaurant there is also a bar in the beach area which offeres different types of coffee, colorful cocktails, refreshing smoothies and many other tasty drinks! :-)

Kücük de bir giyim ilhami ekleyeyim. Datca'da, Mango'dan satin aldigim mavi detaylari olan beyaz elbisemi giymeyi cok sevdim. Kahverengi kücük bir canta ve sandaletlerle bence tam bir yaz kombini oldu. Bilirsiniz, sade giyinmeyi severim. Bu kombini kolumdaki kücük detaylarla tamamladim. Cluse saatim ve Zoeca bilekliklerim her zaman vazgecilmezimdir! Sizce nasil olmus?

And I want to include a little fashion inspiration for you! In Datca, I loved to wear my blue detailed white dress from Mango. I combined it with a small brown leather bag and sandals - my ultimate summer look! You may already know that I really adore simple, effortless looks, and this is one of those. On my wrist I wear my favorite watch from Cluse and my lovely bracelets from Zoeca. How do you like it?

Sonuc olarak ben otelden cok mu cok memnun kaldim ve herkese tavsiye edebilirim. Burada gecirdigim günlerde huzuru ve sakinligi dorukta yasadim ve yenilendim diyebilirim. Datca’ya ilk gelisimdi, bu yüzden de ayri heyecan vericiydi. Denizinin ise tanimi yok, bunu da ancak gidenler anlayabilir iste. O kadar güzel ve berrakti ki, bence Türkiye’nin en güzel denizi burada, tam Ege ve Akdeniz’in bulustugu, kucaklastigi yerde. Mutlaka gidin ve görün, o mavileri hicbir yerde göremezsiniz! Nasil desem… okyanus mavisi iste! Otel ise dedigim gibi cok sirin ve sevimliydi - tam hayallerimdeki oteldi aslinda. Tasarimini, servisini, denizini, tadini, tuzunu cok sevdim. Güleryüzlü ve ilgili personeli sayesinde de hic yabancilik cekmedim, aksine modum hep yüksekti. Burada bir isteginizin geri cevrilmesi mümkün degil, tüm personel isini titizlikle yapiyor. Bu oteli tanima firsati yakaladigim ve hayatimin birkac gününü bu cennet kösesinde gecirebildigim icin cok sansli hissediyorum kendimi. Sizlerin de gelip görmesini cok isterim! 

Bizi en iyi sekilde misafir ettikleri, ilgi ve alakalari icin basta Serdar Bey olmak üzere Nilay Hanim ve tüm otel personeline tesekkür etmek istiyorum. Gercekten her biri cok sicakkanli, güleryüzlü ve ilgiliydi. Otelde hicbir sekilde yabancilik hissetmedim, hatta sanki her yaz geliyormusum gibiydi, öylesine huzurlu ve keyifli. Bundan sonra da eminim ki yilin birkac gününü burada gecirmeye gelecegim, cünkü burasi benim düslerimdeki otel.. mavi beyaz.

Summing up, I can admit that I have enjoyed my time at Hotel Mavi Beyaz to the fullest and can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience to all those who want to spend calm and peaceful days in a beautiful sea location. It was the first time I had been in Datca and all my expectations were exceeded. Also it was so dreamy to know that the Aegean Sea kisses the Mediterranean Sea right in this place. Also I really loved the hotel and its design - just like it was made for me! Additionally, the hotel staff was always super friendly and helpful - so what else? Many thanks to Serdar, Nilay and the whole hotel staff for being always so kind!
